Cabo San Lucas, Day 4

Yesterday was a quiet pool day for me, at my hotel in the morning and at the Heitman's hotel in the afternoon while everyone involved with the wedding was busy with wedding stuff. In the evening, we had a last-minute invitation to see Kelly getting dressed in her Sari for the dinner cruise. Today is another pool/beach day before the wedding this evening.

Cabo San Lucas, Day 3

Yesterday Dad and I took kayaks out to the end of the peninsula. We went snorkeling and saw lots of different kinds of fish, including several puffer fish. We beached and walked over to the pacific side - most of the photos are of the rocks. We then kayaked around the end over to the pacific side where we saw a couple of seals on the rocks. Sorry - no pictures from the kayak - it was too wet to have my camera out. Got close to Greg Norman's (apparently a famous golfer) yacht - WOW. The Heitmans met up with us for an afternoon on the beach before going to pick up Liss at the airport, then we all had dinner at a restaurant overlooking the beach. Today is a pool/beach day, with the wedding rehearsal dinner cruise this evening.

Cabo San Lucas, Day 2

Yesterday we walked around the city, had a fantastic lunch at a taqueria, went to the beach, managed to avoid getting sucked under by the undertow, successfully fended off the many vendors, and then met up with Aunt Cyndi and had dinner at a total tourist trap with good food and yummy margaritas.

May 29 Last Antalya pictures & back home

We had beautiful weather for the remainder of our trip, and made a couple more forays into the old section of the city of Antalya. I highly recommend a trip to a Hamam (Turkish bath)!

May 20 Antalya

We arrived in Antalya yesterday, and the conference has been very informative, and looks like it will continue to be very interesting for the duration. We went on the tour of the old part of the city today after the close of sessions. The tour was pretty regimented, so we may go back on our own another time. The weather continues to be wonderfully warm and sunny.

May 18, Istanbul, Bosphorus

Here are more photos from yesterday - mostly of the Grand Bazaar plus some from today. Believe it or not, I did cut the number down from the 88 that I took! Today (Sunday) most tourist sites are closed, and we took a 6 hour tour of the Bosphorus, out to the mouth of the Black Sea. We got off the ferry at the last stop and hiked up to a castle. Not sure what the name of it is - it's not in any of our guidebooks, and I'm sure I'd butcher the pronunciation if I tried to say it. Still having gorgeous, sunny, warm weather, and still really enjoying this wonderful city. I put in some animal pictures for the girls!
